Standards for Safeguarding Customer Information 

Pursuant to Subtitle A of Title V of the GLBA, the FTC promulgated the Final Rule to amend the Standards for Safeguarding Customer Information (“Safeguards Rule”).  The Standards address the following areas to develop, implement and maintain your Information Security Program:

• Designate a Qualified Individual
• Risk Assessment
• Conduct Regular Audits of the Compliance Program
• Testing or otherwise monitoring the effectiveness of safeguards
• Implement policies and procedures
• Oversee service providers
• Evaluate and adjust your information security program
• Establish a written incident response plan
• Qualified Individual to report in writing, regularly and at least annually
